We are a homeschooling family in the Pacific Northwest. We are currently in our second year of homeschooling with our little guy being in First Grade.

September 30, 2011. So the journey begins... it's currently the fall of 2011 and we are venturing into our first year of untraditional schooling. We've always leaned towards attachment parenting, or intuitive parenting if you will, so the transition to untraditional schooling doesn't really feel like much of a transition at all. It's just continuing living life the way we always have. Our "Unschooling" may not look like everyone else's "Unschool", but that's the beauty of it - we can do anything and everything we want to do, and nothing that we don't want to. We don't have to start in September. We don't have to follow a Monday - Friday schedule. We don't have to learn only during the day, we can learn any time. We don't have to follow a standardized curriculum. We can learn anything we want, how we want to, and on our own time line. We have complete freedom. Follow along and catch a glimpse of the learning as it happens... :)
"For freedom Christ has set us free. Stand firm, therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery" ~Galatians 5:1
